Hello,

I have been working on a project using RTMPT and I have been going through the specification in great detail. I decided to upload my findings on wikipedia so please, all of you who are interested, have a look and let me know what you think

Hi,

thanks for the article. Could you please clarify me one thing. I found an information (old red5 ticket) that a complete handshake from the RTMPT client will never be sent. Is it true?

Regards,
Cyril

Hi, sasnegot! Do you know about the format of those "connection ID, channel ID, operation, message ID", in the servers response for " Send - phase 2 ", which mentioned in

https://docs.google.com/document/pub?id=1BaMM5zemyNwVsf0OHbihqa9nDZL_a5vZleEJe0bjrcc

 Thanks a lot!

Many thanks for really a great document - it has helped me understand RTMPT protocol.

There's just one thing you haven't mentioned, which is the "ident2" message. Although this message seems to have no apparent use, it's still a part of the handshaking process.

It would also be nice if you could add a brief description of the handshaking process. Here's a simple document which I wrote for myself, in which I describe how the handshaking works: https://docs.google.com/document/pub?id=1BaMM5zemyNwVsf0OHbihqa9nDZL_a5vZleEJe0bjrcc
